Coverage under the New Hampshire Health Protection Program began on Aug. 15, 2014.
People can enroll four ways:
  1. Online at www.nheasy.nh.gov,
  2. Call Medicaid Services Center at 1-888-901-4999,
  3. Visit one of DHHS’ district offices across the state,
  4. Through the Affordable Care Act Marketplace at www.healthcare.gov.

DHHS has staff and partners ready to answer any questions for those who may qualify through their toll-free number 1-888-901-4999 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, or at any of our 11 district offices.

Access to Health Insurance in a SNAP, by the NH Fiscal Policy Institute, lays out a strategy by which the state can use data it currently collects and verifies in administering the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) to quickly identify and enroll eligible adults into the New Hampshire Health Protection Program.

Up to 27,000 Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) beneficiaries are likely eligible for expanded Medicaid.
