Susan Ticehurst served four years as NH State Representative, demonstrating that an ordinary person can run successfully and work with integrity for fair, responsible and open government.

Her experience includes:

  • Member of the NH House of Representatives’ Health, Human Services and Elderly Affairs Committee for two terms;
  • Carroll County Coalition for Public Health Advisory Council member;
  • Member of various economic organizations, including the Tamworth Capital Improvement Plan Committee, Mt. Washington Valley Economic Council, Tamworth Economic Development Commission;
  • Facilitator for groups of disadvantaged entrepreneurs in a micro-loan program; Assistant to the state director;
  • Organizer and presenter for a civic advocate education project;
  • Trained facilitator for community discussions using a deliberative democracy model;
  • Inaguaral member of the National Association of State Legislators for Civil Discourse;
  • Human services agency director, responsible for planning and program implementation;
  • Child care facility director, responsible for meeting state licensing
    standards;
  • Preschool teacher and Head Start home edcuator;
  • Program coordinator for a care giving organization, matching volunteers to elders in need of assistance;
